Spring-y ballet flats the color of lollipops? Count me very in. I, for one, am going for the Poppy ones on the far left. Taste the rainbow (shoes) at J.Crew.
p.s. I’m obsessed with the song!
p.p.s. I’m also back here.

Shhh. How about some financial aid? Several really awesome clothing stores offer sweet student discounts all the time. You know, to ease the whole “starving college student thing.” Check out J.Crew (15 percent), Madewell (15 percent) and Club Monaco (20 percent) for the kind of preppy/hip staples none of us can live without. All you have to do is show your student ID at checkout. A+.
(J).Crew Cut

I’ve always had this thing for J.Crew. My inner golf/tennis/horseback riding lessons WASP (seriously) has a hard time resisting things like collars, ballet flats and cashmere sweaters. But I’ve been pleased to see that Cape Cod’s favorite outlet has made some efforts to up the fashion quotient in the last couple seasons, and particularly appreciate the pink and champagne tones that dominated the brand’s clothes this fall.
As seen by The Cut’s photo of J.Crew’s Spring presentation last night, it looks like the warmer months will bring more of the same: muted, earthy pastels with a healthy dose of shiny (my favorite color). And that’s definitely not a bad thing.
P.S. I have been particularly admiring some of J.Crew’s jewelry, like this necklace. I recall reading that they had hired a new jewelry designer a couple seasons ago to legitimize its jewelry operation, and it definitely shows. Given, the pieces definitely look better in the store than online, so ch-ch-check it out.
